Maryland regional championships
The Maryland State Wrestling Association created the Regional State Championships Series to ensure that all wrestlers have a local opportunity to compete with intermediate and advanced wrestlers throughout the entire state of Maryland!

ABOUT regional CHAMPIONShips
The Regional Championships event series aims to provide a positive competitive wrestling experience for intermediate and advanced wrestlers. For this series, Maryland has been divided up into five regions, and each will host a regional championship event this year. Unlike previous years, wrestlers are encouraged to participate in as many regional championship events as they would like. We wanted to create opportunities for more local mat time for our athletes.

Participation Guidelines
There is no seeding for our Regional Championships event series. All seeds are randomized.
The MSWA State Championships will be a seeded tournament.
Currently, the Maryland State Regional Championships are only open to Maryland and DC atheletes.
All events will have certified officials to ensure safety and fun.
To qualify for the MSWA State Championships you must compete in a Regional Championship.
Wrestlers must weigh in wearing their singlet or t-shirt/shorts.
Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers!
