Wrestling leagues

Proud to support wrestling and its growth across the entire state!

Maryland has a rich legacy of wrestling that spans decades to include teams, clubs, leagues, wrestlers, and champions from every county throughout our great state. These are the current clubs in Maryland!

MJWL

In November of 1959 five teams met to officially create what today is referred to as the Maryland Junior Wrestling League (MJWL). Today, it is one of the oldest leagues in our state with a strong legacy of building champions on and off the mat.

The Maryland Club Wrestling League was formed in 2025 by a collection of advanced club teams around the state of Maryland. Teams participate in a group of events throughout the year in a round robin format to ensure that wrestlers get matched with athletes that are close to their age and weight.
