ABOUT the state CHAMPIONShips

The Maryland Folkstyle State Championship aims to provide the ultimate end-of-season positive competitive wrestling experience for Maryland's intermediate and advanced wrestlers. To qualify for this tournament, the athlete must have competed in one of MSWA's five Regional Championship events. Unlike previous years, wrestlers are encouraged to participate in as many Regional Championship events as they would like to prepare themselves for the end of year Championship. Our goal is to create opportunities for more local mat time for our athletes. This tournament will crown our state champions!
