FINAL DAYS PREPARATION/DOCTOR/PACKING
PREPARATION. Wrestlers should still be at a high level of cardio and wrestling training. At the conclusion of the Final Training Camp, athletes should be in a weight management and RECOVERY PHASE Wednesday-Friday. You should be well-rested and healed when you arrive at Fargo!
DOCTOR. During/after completion of the final training camps please take careful notice for ANY skin anomalies. ASK A COACH next week if you are not sure about a rash, bump, scar, circular thingy with green/yellow pus oozing out (okay, too much detail :)?? There is still time to get treatment AND A DOCTORS NOTE that states how long the infection or condition has been treated and when the wrestler can return to competition..
FYI: Weigh In Procedures - Wrestlers should only have a competition uniform on when entering the weigh-in area. They must submit to a skin disease screening prior to weigh-in. The chief medical officer has full authority without appeal in determining the eligibility of an athlete to compete.

PACKING. You MUST HAVE a Team Maryland (any year) RED and BLUE singlet for competition. If you ordered gear it will be distributed on Monday at camp. Don't forget your shoes, mouth guard (if applicable), and headgear (if applicable). Remember your "lucky socks" as well. You will need workout gear for team practice sessions while in Fargo. Plan on at least 4 practices and any additional weight management workout clothes you will need. Laundry facilities (and soap) WILL be available during the week if needed.
Weather in Fargo, ND during this time of year is usually HOT. Weather inside the Fargodome is always COOL to COLD (when not moving around). Highly recommend you wear layers and/or warm-ups(sweats) while in the Fargodome to keep warm. Wear your Maryland Team gear while walking around or any comfy clothing that is in good taste with no offensive or questionable print! YOU REPRESENT TEAM MARYLAND, YOUR SCHOOL, AND YOUR FAMILY!!
