Youth Events

Welcome to the new Kids Wrestling (Youth Events) page on the Maryland State Wrestling Association website.  I am pleased to be the Kids Director for the MSWA. 

The goal of the MSWA Kids division is to enable the development of the largest number of quality wrestlers.  It is the opinion of the MSWA that the most effective means to accomplishing that goal is to increase the number of opportunities for youth wrestling through non-seeded, open, age/weight tournaments. 

The first step we are taking is to use this site as a repository for non-seeded, open, age/weight tournaments in Maryland and the surrounding states.  If you are planning on running a tournament and you would like to have that information posted on the Youth Events page, please email me as much information as possible about your tournament.  This will also enable tournament directors to schedule their tournament around others in their area.    

From time to time, we will also be providing members of the Maryland state wrestling community with additional information on youth wrestling in the state through this site.
